Series 48

The Kemet 48 machines are equipped with a cast iron lapping plate with a diameter of 1219 mm. The lapping plate consists of 16 individual cast-iron segments screwed to a support.
The lapping plate control system uses a distinctive motor and worm gearbox mounted on a floor base. This base is manufactured from steel with easily removable panels for access during maintenance.
It also consists of 4 cast iron rings (432mm ID). It incorporates a digital processing timer and a fully automatic diamond liquid distribution system.
