Series 72

The Kemet 72 machines are equipped with a cast iron lapping plate with a diameter of 1829 mm. The lapping plate consists of 16 individual cast-iron segments screwed to a holder.
The Kemet 72 is available in open face or pneumatic lifting versions. The primary function of the pneumatic version is to enable assembly and disassembly without the need for manual lifting. However, they can also be used to provide additional lifting for the components inside the rings if required.
The Kemet 72 lapping machine uses a cross-shaped structural steel base. The gearbox is mounted in the centre of the base with the control motor on one side.
The control system incorporates a soft throttle system.
The machine can be used with conventional abrasives or Kemet Diamond products. The conventional abrasive distribution system consists of a separate tank equipped with pump and mixing blades.
