Mini fine centering
The Agathon concept
- The mould inserts are centred with no gap at each closure. Only half of both inserts are floating.
- Mini Agathon fine centering units, including cage retention system, serve as centering system.
- The mould inserts can therefore be centred backlash-free, wear-free and with high precision - for light and precise centring applications.
- In addition, the slim mini centring takes up very little space. A compact design of the tool is guaranteed.
- Depending on the hardness of the mould insert material, the respective centring bush can be omitted.
Fast, compact, cost-effective and highly efficient
Benefits:
- Reduced machining effort: Locating holes for round centralisations are cheaper and can be produced more precisely and with less effort than square locating centrators like other centralisation systems.
- Efficient procedures: The mini fine centring ensures high process reliability. This ensures the production of high quality parts.
- Pure accuracy: the mould inserts are precisely and repetitively centred.
- Minimum space requirement: Agathon's fine centring units are designed to be compact. In many cases, the bushing can be omitted and much required space can be saved. In these cases, the "d2 dynamic" anti-roll surface is manufactured by the customer.
- Sturdy and available: Agathon fine centering units are temperature resistant up to approx. 170°C (338°F), standardised and available in stock.
